Our Team

For many years Leigh Vachon has been the Executive Director of Victoria Manor Supportive Housing.  In the past she has had the role of Director of Operations for the House of Sophrosyne.  Leigh has also been both a Staff and now a Volunteer for the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women.  Leigh sits on the Board of Directors for Assisted Living Southwest Ontario (ALSO).  She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Windsor and is a graduate of the Leadership Windsor-Essex class of 2014, still Leigh attests that her greatest educator has been experience and still continues to grow and learn through those she connects with in every step of her daily journey.  She is a certified Non-Violent Crisis Intervention & ASIST Suicide Intervention Instructor.  Leigh is a married mother of one strong-willed, tempestuous and wickedly smart daughter, who, she is proud to say, will be a force of nature as an adult woman (though she could do with slightly less outspokenness at this point in her young life).

Christine Dubruiel is our Director of Resident Services.  Christine graduated from the Social Service Worker Program at St. Clair College.  She is also a recent graduate of the Leadership Windsor-Essex program and is on the Fundraising Committee for the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women.  Christine is client support driven and her aspiration is to help people succeed in reaching their goals.  Christine is the loving mother of two exceptionally bright and caring children for which she is most proud of more than anything else in her life.  Her kids motivate her to be an improved version of herself and she strives to give both of them the best that life can offer.  Her favorite color is blue as it symbolizes loyalty, freedom and imagination. Christine’s favorite activities vary from gym workouts, camping, family vacations and cooking healthy for herself and her family.  Her goal is to find a balance of happiness and serenity in her life and within herself.

Cindy Taylor is our Director of Operations.  She is a very structured and organized individual committed to managing our daily business operations.  Previous to this, she worked at Chrysler Canada in the Paint Booth. Cindy has a Veterinary Technician Diploma from St. Clair College and worked as one for many years.  This vocation has been an ongoing passion for her as she is always checking over other people’s pets when they are in need of medical attention and giving her advice.  Her dogs have always been her true love, past and present.  She treats them like her own children and will forever in her future always be a dog owner.  Cindy's favorite color is orange as for her it signifies happiness, vibrancy and energy.  Summer is Cindy’s favourite season as she enjoys being out in the sun whenever possible.  Halloween is a fun event for her as she likes to get dressed up in scary costumes and frequents Haunted Houses.  Cindy truly believes that she should have been born a Latina. She likes the language, the music and especially the food of this culture.  Cindy actively practices a new mantra to forget the day’s tribulations and to remember the day’s blessings.

Amanda Epp is our Director of Engagement at Victoria Manor. She graduated in 2015 with her ACSW diploma  and is dedicated in her role of helping others by meeting them where they are at and operating with a harm reduction approach to care.  She is a huge advocate for Residents by striving to meet their set goals.  Amanda is also a graduate of the Leadership Windsor-Essex and is also a current member of the Partners of Addiction Treatment Committee (PAT).  Amanda is a passionate mother of an active and adorable young son. More than anything she wants to provide him with a safe and loving home and the means to achieve all his wishes and desires.  Her favourite activities are listening to a wide range of musical artists and dancing.  The colour that Amanda is drawn to the most is green as it represents all the things that Amanda is inspired by such as springtime, nature and growth.  Her wish for humanity is to be fair, open minded and accepting of all cultures, diversities, religions and orientations.
